CMC Rescue School - More Information

A completed Enrollment Form must be submitted along with payment or Purchase Order to reserve your place in the class. You can download the form in .pdf format or call us and request a form to be faxed or mailed to you.

    Rope Rescue Technician I/II

    Skills Taught Include:
    Equipment selection, inspection and maintenance; knots; anchors; patient packaging; mechanical advantage systems; belaying; lowering systems; rappelling; knot passing through rappels, raising and lowering systems; system safety factors; litter rigging and tending; pick-offs; and stretcher evacuations. Practical application is taught through scenarios drawn from actual rescue experience. Be prepared for a lot of information and an intense hands-on class.

    Rope Rescue Technician III

    Topics Covered Include:
    Updates on the latest equipment, systems testing, belay techniques and other research; equipment and systems demonstration tests; manufactured and improvised artificial high anchor points; high lines; guiding lines; advanced litter handling techniques; and numerous challenging real-life rescue scenarios. The hands-on intensive scenarios will challenge your decision-making abilities and improve your capability to conduct sophisticated team rescues.

    Confined Space Entry & Rescue

    California State Fire Marshal Approved

    Topics Covered Include:
    This 40-hour, hands-on intensive course prepares the fire/rescue or industrial responder to safely manage a confined space rescue incident. The quality and thoroughness of CMC's Confined Space Entry and Rescue Program was recognized when the State of California based the approved state curriculum on the CMC program. Our Confined Space Entry and Rescue Manual is the required text for all courses approved by the state. Confined Space Entry and Rescue is one of the most challenging and dangerous rescue operations facing fire and rescue services today. Our course provides the knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely and legally resolve a confined space emergency.

    Enrollment information:

    Due to high demand for these classes, we can only confirm your registration with payment (check, credit card or valid purchase order). A confirmation letter with travel, lodging and meeting location will be sent approximately 45 days prior to the beginning of class. Applications received without payment will be placed on a waiting list and will be accepted into the class on a first pay, first served basis.

    More Info on Registration Fees

    Early registration prices are only valid for payments received 45 days or more prior to class. Regular registration prices are for payments received less than 45 days in advance or when billed on an approved purchase order. Without payment, your enrollment is not confirmed.

    Please note: CMC Rescue classes are popular and usually fill several months prior to the class date. Occassionally, due to circumstance beyond our control, we must postpone or cancel a course. If so, we will make that decision 45 days prior to the class start date. If we cancel a class, CMC is liable only for the registration fee.

    If you must cancel your enrollment, we will accept a substitute replacement. Notification of cancellation and any request for refund must be made in writing. If written notice of cancellation and request for a refund is received 45 days before the first day of class, CMC will refund the full tuition amount minus a $25 enrollment fee. For cancellations and requests for refunds received with less than a 45-day notice before the first day of the class, CMC will refund the full tuition amount minus a $100 enrollment fee. If the applicant transfers the enrollment to another person or if CMC is able to fill your space from the waiting list, the applicant will receive a full refund. The applicant will receive the refund within 30 days of our receipt of the notice. This refund policy applies only when the tuition fee is paid by the applicant.
