CMC’s 8-mm specialty cord allows the system to be extended to 12 feet while providing a 5:1 M/A and a breaking strength of 22 kN (4,946 lbf.). Collapse the system and store the hardware in one compartment and the rest of the rope in the other compartment. Need personal edge protection? Attach the carabiner end of the cord to an appropriate anchor, then use the included 5-mm Purcell Prusik with 7-mm Oval Quick Link to attach to your harness and you’ve got more than 40 feet of a sliding, adjustable personal anchor.
