A critical component of any external load operation is the ability to jettison the load in the event of an
in-flight emergency. Designed to meet operational
jettisonable-under-load requirements,
such as those specified in Title 14 Code
of Federal Regulations (CFR) part 133, the
release device requires two distinct actions to
activate. A neoprene cover with a hook and
loop closure provides additional security as
well as environmental protection.
