This three-day, 24-hour hands-on intensive course is specifically designed to teach skills required by fire department, public works & other agencies involved in disaster response and USAR operations. It combines basic structural principles with practical skills in site evaluation and shoring techniques. To our knowledge, this is the only course of its kind that specializes in hands-on building shoring techniques for First Responders..

Skills Taught Include:

Safety practices; indications of collapse; formations of voids; shoring principles and concepts; construction of braces and shoring; stages of search & rescue; handling and removing casualties; and post incident debriefing.

Enrollment Requirements:

A background in basic rope rescue is suggested. Please call if you have any questions. You must be at least 18 years old to attend.

Class Size:

Limited to 24 students. We emphasize hands-on instruction and encourage participation by everyone in the class.
