CMC Survivor Cearley Rapid Intervention Strap
  • CMC Survivor Cearley Rapid Intervention Strap
This multi-purpose strap was developed by Rick Cearley to provide a means of extricating a downed firefighter from a structure. The strap fits easily in a turnout pocket and quickly secures around the body allowing a partner to drag a fallen firefighter to safety. The Cearley RIT Strap can also be used as a quick attachment for securing a victim or as a safety belay when a firefighter is working on a roof. Large loops at each end provide easy handling even with structure gloves. Rick Cearley is a retired senior helicopter pilot for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
