Non-locking carabiners can be used for racking equipment or as the “keeper” carabiner on a load-release strap or
mariner’s hitch. Non-locking carabiners should always be used in pairs, rigged opposite and opposed. Our oval aluminum
carabiner features a unique key-lock design for snag-free operation and a side-swing gate for maximum gate opening.
The oval design places equal amounts of force on the spine and gate, allowing the carabiner to maintain full rated strength
regardless of the width of the web or rope clipped into it. It’s also a good size to clip over the ropes coming out of a pulley
to help mind a Prusik hitch. Every carabiner is proof loaded.
